Antwerp Distribution an Products Operations (ADPO) was founded in 1988. On the left bank of the River Scheldt in the Port of Antwerp an integrated chemical distribution complex of 15 ha was constructed. ADPO was the first company that combined all aspects of physical distribution for liquid bulk products on one site. Late 1997, ADPO acquired the former TEXACO site in the Port of Ghent, covering 32 ha of land. Toll processing activities and co-siting were added to the ADPO service offer. In 1999, AFC (transport division of ADPO) was established in order to offer our customers the full supply chain concept. In 2001 ADPO Antwerp expanded its existing infrastructure with 10 ha, with a highly automated tank terminal. To handle the growing traffic on its Antwerp terminal a multimodal logistic zone of 5 ha was established in 2006. Early 2007 ADPO strengthened its position in the conventional cargo handling, forwarding and warehousing with the acquisition of two well-established companies both active on the right bank of the river Scheldt in Antwerp.
